Abstract :
Supply chain simulation has received great attention from most scholars in recent years. According to the deficiency of special supply chain´s research, this paper works over the port supply chain simulation. A port supply chain dynamic simulation model is established, and then, based on that model, Simulink tools is adopted for simulation. Through the change of variables, some valuable viewpoints are brought forward. Firstly, port´s capability limits have great influence on the operation of supply chain. Secondly, the investment on limits, especial the bottlenecks, can bring out large profits and the exact value can be calculated through the simulation. Thirdly, in the view of supply chain management, sometimes, an investment for the others maybe brings out great profits to a port itself. In this way, it´s useful to evaluate some investment systematically and make a wise investment decision for the port enterprises.
