Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this paper we show that a comparable spectral resolution can be achieved using an array of spherical or nearly spherical dielectric microresonators arranged on a flat light guide. Recently, high resolution spectroscopic devices were developed in the millimeter or micrometer size rang. Basically, three types of instruments are available: scanning Fabry-Perot (SFP) interferometer, grating spectrometer (GS), and array waveguide grating devices (AWG).
