Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.

The city residents´ work and living are directly related to the urban environment. Square is an important component of the urban environment, which undertakes the responsibility of representing the image of the city as well as improving residents´ living qualities. However, some badly-designed squares influence the urban landscape significantly. Here we take Wuhan Hongshan square as an example, from the perspective of urban environment management, tries to investigate the drawbacks of currently square´s design.
