Abstract
A real-time operating system GDOS (generic DSP operating system) based on DSP is designed and implemented in this paper. GDOS can solve the disunity of current DSP interfaces and improve the portability of the application systems on GDOS. Furthermore, GDOS can improve software engineers´ efficiency. GDOS has been successfully applied in a 3G radio network controller. This 3G radio network controller is currently working steadily at home and abroad.
