Abstract
A model for the study of multihop mobile packet radio networks (PRNs) has been proposed by Kleinrock and Silvester (1978), and by Takagi and Klienrock (1984). Two transmission strategies, most forward with variable radius (MVR) and nearest with forward progress (NFP), were examined. In this paper, we introduce two, new strategies, minimal angular distortion (MAD) and angular deviation to transmission range ratio (ARR), and examine their performance analytically and by Monte-Carlo simulation. Results show that ARR is generally superior to the other three transmission strategies
