  • Abstract
    Multimedia information requires a new physical data structure for its efficient storage and retrieval. This data structure must meet the real-time deadlines required for the rendition of the media (e.g. audio and video). We propose a data structure for a multimedia file system. A detailed discussion of continuous media storage strategies and a method for synchronizing different media at the storage level are presented
