According to the location quotation of metropolitan core centre service industry calculated through data from Shanghai City economic census, and positive analysis on the industrial location in Shanghai core centre, it is found that there is problem that industrial aggregation in metropolitan core centre does exist but the degree is not so high, the integrity of industrial planning and location in metropolitan core centre is not so strong. Therefore it is recommended that industries planning and location in metropolitan core centre should start from the economy in overall metropolis or the around area, core centre should be developed in industry aggregation way, strengthen core centre strategy and break cluster lock-in phenomenon should be the most important.
