Abstract
This paper introduces a new efficient Cascaded Integrator-Comb (CIC)-based decimation structure. The proposed filter uses a low-complexity passband droop compensator and the Chebyshev sharpening technique, both recently introduced in literature, to improve the magnitude response. In this way this method improves the worst-case aliasing rejection and simultaneously decreases the passband deviation of traditional comb decimation filters. It is shown that the proposed filter exhibits better characteristics than the traditional CIC filter and other recent methods from literature.
