Abstract :
Predistortion linearization is a very effective technique for improving the linearity and efficiency of traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifiers. A novel broadband linearizer is presented in this paper, which has been developed at space satellite system for Ku band. The nonlinear characteristics of linearizer can be adjusted to linearize deferent TWTA from 12.25GHz to 12.75GHz. The linearizer is capable of providing up to 5 dB gain compensation and 45 degree phase compensation. The great improvement of C/3rd IMD of TWTA could be obtained by using this linearizer.
