Abstract
In this paper, the low frequency oscillation in the PI type of average current controlled Boost converter is studied. Firstly, the circuit operation is briefly presented, and some typical time-domain waveforms for describing the low frequency oscillation from the power electronics simulator (PSIM) and circuit experiment are given. And then, the low frequency oscillation in the PI type of average current controlled Boost converter is analyzed by establishing the improved averaged model. It is found that the switching frequency has an important influence on the low frequency oscillation in the PI type of average current controlled Boost converter and it is effective to use the improved averaged model to analyze the switching frequency´s influence.
