Abstract
In this paper, a aperture-coupled dual-band microstrip antenna for application in WiMax and WLAN systems is presented. The dual-band antenna operates in 2.4 GHz and 3.6 GHz. It is composed of two radio patches and a feeding network, aperture-coupled technology and stacked technology are used in the antenna to obtain the broadband and dual-band operation. The proposed antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth of 100MHz with VSWR<;2.0, the gain of antenna is larger than 5dBi, so the antenna meets well the requirements of WiMax and WLAN systems. Details of the proposed antenna design and measurement results are presented and discussed.
