Abstract
This paper described the reductions of Microcystis aeruginosa and Anabaena flos-aquae using enhanced coagulation/electro- flotation process. A L9(34) orthogonal test including pH value, PAC doses, electric current and coagulation time is designed to remove algae in paper. Analysis of the removal of two major water-bloom algaes, viz Microcystis aeruginosa and Anabaena flos-aquae is addressed in paper by enhanced coagulation/electro-flotation process. The best removal of Microcystis aeruginosa and Anabaena flos-aquae achieved 93.33% and 96.47% respectively. The analysis of variance and range to the result of experiment indicates that coagulation process plays major role and pH value has the most remarkable influence.
