  • Abstract
Reliability and safety analysis are important for any company, regardless of industry. Reliability analyses give an estimate of how often a product is likely to fail and a list of its most unreliable components. Safety analyses help to decrease the risk that a product will cause undesired consequences in the field. Companies across many industries use the same tools for reliability and safety analyses, such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), but their techniques of applying those tools can be very different.
