Analysis on Chinese University-Enterprise Collaboration Networks of Patent Applications - An Example of Chemical and Metallurgical Patents

The paper analyzes the evolution of Chinese university-enterprise networks of patent applications during a special period. Data of chemistry and metallurgy patents which applied jointly by universities and enterprises were obtained from China´s State Intellectual Property Office. The data were applied for the analysis on the evolution of Chinese university-enterprise collaboration networks. Social network analysis method was used to analyze the evolution of Chinese university-enterprise collaboration networks. The findings of this paper are helpful for government to deepen the mechanisms of university-enterprise collaboration.
