  • Abstract
    Two fast high current electronics DC switches are proposed to protect the line commutated SCR´s three phase converter against DC short circuit in the output terminals. They are designed to ensure continuous service of a 2000 A, 600 V battery bank when it is working in a discharge mode. The design procedure is described and the theoretical results are verified by simulation
