Abstract :
The work is devoted to the design of a sliding mode control scheme for a single-phase AC/DC/AC converter in an output AC signal tracking task, maintaining unity power factor in the input stage. The control scheme is found to be robust with respect to parameter variations and external disturbances. The analysis of the sliding domain provides us with a converter parameter design procedure which, in turn, can be used to minimize the DC-link capacitors
