Abstract
The determination of the condition of the stator core insulation between the iron sheets of large rotating electrical machines is important for a safe and economic operation. There are different methods available to determine this condition. Because of the relevance of the topic, this work gives an overview over the three most common test methods. The advantages resp. disadvantages of these methods are discussed later on.
