  • Abstract
Through the investigation of the seismic damage to the tunnels by the Wenchuan Earthquake on May 12, 2008, the damage mainly takes the following forms:tunnel lining shear location movement, the tunnel structure destruction caused by the slope destruction, tunnel lining destruction, side wall destruction and tunnel portal collapse. It is closely related to the earthquake magnitude, the earthquake intensity, the buried depth of the tunnel, the geological conditions, and the underground structural model. These findings provide evidence for the seismic design of the tunnel.
