  • Abstract
The paper presents recent advances of a sea wave energy conversion system into electrical energy both in modeling and control strategy techniques. First, the simulation model has been improved in order to better represent the impact of the drag force due to the friction of water on the cylindrical buoy. Moreover, the control strategy has been modified through a real-time control scheme which adapts the system to the fundamental pulsation of the incoming wave time variation. A detailed analysis of the additional power which can be extracted from the sea waves through the proposed system improvements is given.
