Abstract
Two solutions for high power terahertz radiation are discussed in this paper. The first solution is based on classical array theory, presenting an array of 5×5 elements, where we achieve upon combining the beams an increased directivity of 18 dB in comparison with the 8 dB of an isolated antenna. Measurements for the different elements of the array are presented. The second solution is the use of large area emitters, where the larger area allows a higher illumination power having a higher radiated power.
