Abstract :
In this work, the performance evaluation of low-frequency and high-frequency MPEG-4 images is exclusively summarized. Our designed transmitting system including the convolutional interleaver is examined over the short-term block fading channels. The signal envelope for the short-term fading can be obtained from the general Chi-Square distribution. When degree of freedom increase, the PSNRs in all cases increase. In the simulation result, the usage of the interleavers becomes noticeable at the degree of freedom higher than ten. The system performance in PSNR is significantly improved up to 6 dB.
