Abstract :
Simultaneous communication in large number of users is requested to meet the growing demand for machine to machine (M2M) communication. Interleave-division multiple-access (IDMA) that allocates users to specific interleave patterns has been investigated recently. We present performance evaluation of antenna diversity with iterative decoding in OFDM-IDMA systems. The iterative decoding that combines diversity branches and corrects signs of log likelihood ratios (LLRs) in the inside of interference canceller is effective to cope with performance degradation caused by multipath fading. In the simulation results, the iterative decoding has improved about 12 dB in Eb/N0 for BER=10−4 compared with the baseline.
