Abstract
Characteristics of a light-guiding metal line loaded on a dielectric substrate are investigated through the eigenmode analysis using the full-vectorial imaginary-distance BPM. Numerical results are compared with those obtained from the semi-vectorial BPM. Directional couplers composed of parallel light-guiding metal lines are also studied.
