Abstract :
A surface motor using Halbach permanent magnet array and coreless armature conductors has been studied for two-dimensional precise positioning. Based on numerical analysis and experimental study carried out so far, active control of yawing motion is studied in this paper. A MATLAB-based numerical simulation tool was developed and used for studying translational motion control and yawing motion suppression for positioning of the mover
