  • Abstract
    Continuous changes in the electric deregulation structure make it necessary for the energy management system (EMS) structures to be redesigned in order to include new functions related to the electric market operation and its interaction with real time operation of electric power systems. In this paper new software architecture for deregulated electric market operation is presented. An electric market simulator is developed on the basis of the proposed software architecture to show its applicability. A simple system is used to illustrate the simulator capability.
