  • Abstract
This research paper provides motion estimation in video codecs. Many algorithms are available for motion estimation to compressing the video data. LSK, Huffman and Run length coding techniques are comparing according to their performances. ME is an important component to achieve good PSNR and Compression Ratio in Video Codecs, which is characterized by its memory requirements. In this paper the LSK method has improved the high compression ratio and peak signal-noise ratio on the Huffman coding and Run length coding on the video data. This technique can be implemented in simple and it gives better performance. These techniques will be implemented in the MATLAB platform and the performance of the video compression technique is evaluated by comparing the result of LSK technique with the Huffman and Run length techniques
