Abstract
The literature indicates that technology, knowledge are important factors on entrepreneurial firm´s growth. Imitation can also be creative and help new ventures defeat industry pioneers. Three cases form Chinese IT industry were selected for study. Conceptual framework was developed for explaining rapid growth of these companies, and its implications to future study and practice is discussed.
