Abstract
The Telecoms market has established its type approval regulations for wireless products in recent years and many facilities exist around the world to carry out accredited OTA measurements. The CTIA[1] has recently introduced extra requirements for A-GPS, laptop and hand testing which will put these facilities at their capacity limit and some companies are therefore looking at cheaper and smaller alternatives to pushing products quicker through the development phase. The performance of such smaller anechoic chambers is presented and correlated to accredited facilities.
