Abstract :
A band-limited set of basis functions is employed, in a 3-D situation, to reduce the spatial-sample count associated with the method of moments (MoM) procedure. Results obtained from modelling axially symmetric reflectors, using variable spatial sample counts, are compared with ones derived from other classes of basis functions. The comparison evidences a superior computational performance (CPU time and memory requirements) of the proposed scheme in this context
