Abstract
The cause of the resonance error arising in the modeling of wires in transmission line modeling (TLM) has been identified, and a method has been proposed for its correction. The method works by increasing the velocity of pulses around the circumference of wires in order to compensate for the delay caused by the nodes diagonally adjacent to the wire. A number of validation tests have been carried out, and a typical set of results is presented. These results have shown the improved response of a system of conducting rods when using the proposed method
