Abstract
The use of rectangular and triangular basis functions with the method of moments to analyze the problem of scattering of electromagnetic waves by dielectric objects with high dielectric constant (εI>10) leads to convergence problems due to the spurious charges associated with the basis functions. This paper proposes a solenoidal 3D basis function that can be used in the method of moments to overcome this problem
