Abstract
Presents a simple solution to the problem of message ordering in multicast communication. The authors divide the problem into two subproblems: one for the broadcast network and the other for the point-to-point network. The solution for the subproblems are obtained first and then applied directly to the interconnected networks. The authors consider the characteristics of the underlying communication networks in the design of the multicast protocols. Especially, the network´s broadcast capability is utilized as much as possible. They believe that it is easy to understand as well as to implement.<>
