Abstract
Driven by continuing scaling of Moore´s law, computer system becomes more and more complicated. The Network application technology of the computer is a basic course in computer architecture. Computer assisted teaching system is used to make the students understand the Network application technology of the computer more easily. A multimedia teaching system is introduced in this paper. The system consists of netmeeting subsystem, streaming media subsystem, TCP/IP control subsystem, FTP subsystem, remote management subsystem, process management subsystem, and user management interface. Some further optimizations, such as load balance and data compression, are employed in the system to improve the user experience.
