Abstract
The MPEG-2 AAC (advanced audio coder) is a high-quality perceptual audio coder with flexible configurations enabling its use in many applications where high audio quality and limited transmission channel bandwidth are required. This paper provides a technology overview and describes the design and implementation of AAC decoders.
