Abstract
The paper aims to present the situation in the regulated field of EMC in Romania, country that lately has made important steps to get close to the actual requirements linked to product quality assurance both for the products intended for the Romanian market and for the exported ones. Due to the transcription in the Romanian legislation of the European Directives and of their application guides, to the translation/endorsement of the main harmonized EMC and Safety standards as well as to the setting up of accredited laboratories and of a market surveillance structure at present in Romania there is the infrastructure and the skilled people necessary to solve the actual requirements. In this way, the free movement of goods and market surveillance are ensured in Romania and to this effect the main operators in EMC field acting on the Romanian market are presented.
