Abstract
This paper is to update the lessons NREL staff have gleaned from their participation in village energy projects and programs. NREL´s approach to village power (VP) is multidisciplinary and multifunctional. NREL´s integrated VP program included resource assessment/mapping, applications development, analytical modeling/options analysis, training, strategic planning, pilot project development, and program implementation.
