Abstract :
The design of an easily stackable, variable period length, fast excitation driven wiggler, making use of geometrically alternating substacks of vanadium permendur ferromagnetic laminations, interspaced with conductive, nonmagnetic laminations which act as eddy current induced field reflectors, is discussed. Experimental results obtained with short wiggler models are presented.<>
