Abstract
This paper explains how different computer architectures subject to specific workloads will translate into different Architectural Efficiency profiles which represent patterns of behavior that depend on the characteristics of both architecture and workload. It then goes on to show that these general profiles can be used to determine discrepancies from expected behavior and highlight issues either in workload characterization, application architecture or the overall solution that is adopted and to suggest appropriate remedial solutions.
