Abstract :
A new microcomputer based method for the calculation of the slip frequency from the phase angle between the stator voltage and the stator current is presented. Suitable PWM of the stator voltage with a predetermined zero crossing of the fundamental enables in conjunction with a filter algorithm for the stator current a sensorless speed control of a squirrel-cage induction motor.
