Abstract :
Introduces a high resolution sigma-delta D/A converter for audio applications. The digital part of the prototype consist of two in-house full-custom chips implemented using a 2 μm CMOS technology. The analog part has one commercial chip for the one-bit D/A conversion and standard discrete components for the reconstruction filter. The prototype demonstrates that a good performance can be achieved using simple simple straightforward analog structures. The preliminary measurements indicate over a 100 dB dynamic range
