Abstract
Co-site interference is becoming an increasingly significant issue in electronic vehicular systems. Military system designers are facing challenges due to the ever increasing demand for more sophisticated, higher performance communication systems on one hand, and the need for high mobility in congested electromagnetic environments on the other. Solutions to mitigate the electromagnetic environment effects caused by vehicle are therefore crucial to enable reliable tactical communications. In this paper, a procedure of interference diagnosing is introduced, and an approach for the mitigation of the interference from vehicle to co-site radio system is proposed, where an equivalent experiment is applied to verify the interference mode and to accomplish the suppressing process. As a result, the costly complete signal coverage performance field-test in diagnosing stage is avoided. In the final test, the result shows that the suppression method of shielding the paths is effective.
