Abstract :
Describes a preprocessing algorithm for automated determination of object contours to determine changes in gray level in noisy images. The algorithm is illustrated for one-dimensional signals using different scales of resolution. Furthermore, a possibility for application of the proposed edge detector operator with multiple scales of resolution is described and illustrated
