Abstract
Cellular dwell time plays an important role in calculating teletraffic performance metrics such as call blocking and forced termination probabilities. However to our knowledge, cellular teletraffic performance had not been calculated under the assumption of heavy-tailed cellular dwell time distribution. In this paper, it will be shown that the heavy-tailed distribution can be fitted into k-phases hyperexponential distribution which allows us to analytically calculate various teletraffic performance metrics.
