Abstract
The authors present a PWM ASIC that is part of a general driving-and-control board of an induction machine. Like the other ASICs, the PWM ASIC has to perform efficiently a specific-and thus simple-job. It is part of a full digital board design. So a PWM solution is presented that is easily implemented inside a digital ASIC. Some results show that a good performance is obtained with this low-cost and easy-design IC
