Abstract :
This paper analyzes the FSK modem method of fax communication. Put forward a new FSK modem method which use the flexible software realization to overcome the shortcomings of the hardware realization such as higher cost. The new method can make the phase continuous and save bandwidth. It can avoid the phase not synchronized problem without taking into account the phase information during demodulation. It introduced the Goertzel algorithm to save storage space and allowed to use the sampling window of arbitrary length. It is verified the effectiveness by the test result. It is used in the CDMA2000 base station system for fax services.
