Systemic Research of Bus Rapid Transportation

In order to solve the problem of choosing patterns which exists in the development of public transit and provide the development strategy for urban public transport system, the suggestion that Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system should be developed first is proposed on the basis of analyzing the existing transportation problems in the city of our country. And the essential factors and characteristic of BRT, the superiority of BRT system and its function in the urban transportation system has been verified. Based on this, the development model and corresponding plan of Bus Rapid Transit system has been proposed, pointing out that different cities should choose according to their own situations.
