Abstract
This work presents detailed theoretical and experimental results of a novel means of obtaining sinusoidal input current and unity power factor cascade buck-boost power converter. Using the new configuration, available sinusoidal line current in phase with the bus voltage is achieved, while its amplitude can be varied within a wide range. The buck operation has the same performance as the boost operation. The influence of the circuit parameters is investigated and validated by experimental results. Full theoretical analysis, simulation and experimental results are presented
