Abstract :
The technique of using voltage-inverter-switches (VIS) in designing analog switched-capacitor (SC) filters for very-high-frequency applications, such as those realized in GaAs technology, is described. An example of a third-order all-pole lowpass VIS filter, based on the use of SC recharging devices, is presented and some properties of the resulting topology are outlined. Limitations and drawbacks of the technique are partially solved by the introduction of a novel recharging device which allows the two-phase operation of the filter
