Primary Analysis and Speculation on the Role of Design Management in Green Design

Design is a conscious activity which is aimed at serving “human”. Creation work based on the integration of human, product and living environment of human has gradually become one of the developmental trends of future design. Presently, various innovative design concepts including “green design” have gradually appeared, and “design management” has drawn increasingly closer attention from people as a new research field. This paper analyzes characteristics of green design and problems existing in the realization of green design. It also performs speculation in combination with the functions of design management, for the purpose of advancing some opinions on the possible problems occurring in the future practical application of green design and the possible effect of design management on green design.
