Abstract :
Fuzzy sets, rough sets and vague sets are all the extension of classical sets theory. They extend the application of set theory to vague and uncertain problem. This paper introduced the ideas of fuzzy set, rough set and vague set and discusses the differences and relationship between them. The development and application of the three theories were also proposed.
